The "one belt, one road" one belt, one road trade and investment index (BRTII) (hereinafter referred to as BRTII) was released in Beijing in May 7th. The report analyzed and calculated 41 sample countries from 2012 to 2017, and made a comprehensive assessment and quantitative analysis of the trade, investment development and future trend of the "home and abroad" along the 4 dimensions of scale, facilitation, risk and potential.

The report shows that one belt, one road, has increased the proportion of internal trade in the world's total trade, reaching 13.4% in 2017, and its internal trade volume has been equivalent to 65% of the volume of intra EU trade.

The BRTII study found one belt, one road initiative, which has been increasingly closely linked to trade links between countries along the way, and the degree of Global trade participation has increased steadily. Trade participation reached 55.2% in 2017. One belt, one road, one belt, one road, is the main form of trade in the area. From 2017, the trade in intermediate goods took 61% of the intra regional trade.

China's one belt, one road area, was imported by US $943 billion 120 million in 2017, according to the BRTII results. The total imports of China's intermediate goods were 302 billion 310 million US dollars. One belt, one road, China's trade growth has been greatly promoted by China's huge market demand.

The BRTII study predicts one belt, one road of the world, which is expected to become one of the new global trade and investment growth centers. But it also needs to strengthen international cooperation in promoting trade and investment facilitation, making up for the lack of infrastructure investment, enhancing value chain cooperation and reducing regional disequilibrium.
